It Happens When Vein Valves Fail

CVI occurs when the valves in the leg veins become damaged or weakened, causing blood to pool in the legs instead of returning to the heart. Over time, this leads to swelling, skin changes, and sometimes ulcers Ultrasound is a leading noninvasive tool for diagnosing venous disease and guiding its treatment.

vein treatment improves quality of life

Why Seek Treatment for Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)?

Left untreated, CVI can worsen over time, leading to serious complications such as painful swelling, skin discoloration, varicose veins, and even hard-to-heal leg ulcers. Early treatment not only relieves symptoms like aching, heaviness, and fatigue in the legs but also helps prevent long-term damage to the skin and veins. Seeking treatment improves mobility, enhances overall leg health, and dramatically increases your quality of life — helping you stay active, comfortable, and confident.

About Ooh So Vein

Our Expertise

Hello, and thank you for visiting us at Ooh So Vein! I’m Angel, a diagnostic medical sonographer with over 14 years of experience in OBGYN, general, breast, small parts, soft tissue, and vascular imaging.

I hold an AAS degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and a BAS degree in Healthcare Management. I’m credentialed by both the ARRT (general sonography) and ARDMS (physics registry).

While I’ve performed a wide range of ultrasound procedures, my true passion lies in treating venous insufficiency — a condition I personally understand. As a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) and Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) certified through Cardiovascular Credentialing International I've dedicated my career to helping those suffering from CVI.

My diverse healthcare background includes training technologists, medical assistants, and assisting providers in advancing their skills in peripheral vein disease care.
